Nostradamus Predictions for 2024
A 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck Ishikawa and its Noto peninsula in Japan on January 1, killing at least 55 people.
Despite the current catastrophe, some online critics around the world are already finding connections between the devastation and prophecies from Nostradamus, a French astrologer.
His followers allege that he correctly foretold key world-changing events, such as Hitler’s rise to power and Queen Elizabeth II’s death.
Here’s a closer look at Nostradamus and what other prophecies may await us in 2024.
Who exactly is Nostradamus?
Nostradamus, or Michel de Nostredame, was a French astrologer and purported seer who lived between 1503 and 1566.
The 16th-century astrologer is most known for his work Les Prophéties, or The Prophecies, which was published in 1555 as a compilation of 942 poetic quatrains predicting future occurrences.
Concerned about being persecuted by the Church for his astrological forecasts, he wrote The Prophecies in a mix of Greek, Italian, Latin, and Provençal, with varied word order to disguise the content.
Nonetheless, many people have decoded his prophesies and believe he properly anticipated a variety of world events. There are numerous references to natural disasters, man-made calamities, and important people’s deaths.
Many people believe in Nostradamus’ prophesies, for example.
- The Great Fire of London
- The French Revolution
- The rise of Napoleon and of Adolf Hitler
- Both World Wars
- The nuclear destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Many others, however, have stated that the same forecast corresponds to whatever big event transpired in their lifetime, ranging from the moon landing to Princess Diana’s death. Because the predictions are vague, much is up for interpretation.
What else did Nostradamus foresee for 2024?
Looking ahead to 2024, Nostradamus prophesied a number of events, none of which seem promising.
A Massive Naval War
Furthermore, the Frenchman projected the start of a third world war 79 years after the end of the second, in 2024.
Nostradamus foretold in his book ‘Les Prophecies’ (The Prophecies) that the world would witness a horrific naval conflict in 2024. He foretold that the “Red adversary will become pale with fear, putting the great Ocean in dread.” Some experts have interpreted this as a reference to a Chinese attack on Taiwan (since China’s flag is red).
There are already several potential confirmations of this prophesy, with conflict developing in Ukraine, between China and Taiwan, and in Palestine, and many global powers supporting various sides.
Is a Natural Disaster on the Horizon?
Climate change, according to the astrologer, will continue to wreak havoc on mankind. There was a paragraph that said, “The dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when it is seen.” This could be due to rising global temperatures and heat waves caused by the greenhouse effect, which could lead to more extreme weather such as storms and unseasonable temperatures.
There will be a new Pope ?
Pope Francis, the current religious leader of the Catholics, could be replaced, according to the astrologer. “Through the death of a very old Pontiff, A Roman of good age will be elected, Of him it will be said that he weakens his see, But long will he sit and in biting activity,” according to the astrologer.
Pope Francis, who is already 86 years old, is said to be in poor health.
Is it all hail, King Harry?
Nostradamus foretold in his scripture that the “King of the Isles” would be “forced out. “Shortly after [a disastrous war], a new King shall be anointed / Who will appease the earth for a long time.”
According to author Mario Reading in an interview with the tabloid Daily Mail, the ‘King Of Isles’ may be a reference to King Charles III, who may abdicate in favor of Prince Harry due to constant personal attacks on him and Queen Camilla.
Only time will tell what 2024 brings forward along with it but we wish everything is alright with this world.
