Barbie and Oppenheimer Win Big at Critics Choice Awards : See All the Winners

The renowned Critics Choice Awards 2024 were held in Los Angeles on Sunday, and the winners have already been announced, with Barbie, starring Margot Robbie, taking home the most awards.

Following the Golden Globes last week, the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association rolled out the Red Carpet on Sunday night to round up the impressions of cinema and television connoisseurs and celebrate the best actors and projects in Hollywood during the previous year.

Chelsea Handler, the actress-comedian, hosted the ceremony for the second year in a row at Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles.

On Monday, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer won eight Critics Choice Awards, including best director, best picture, and best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr.

Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig, came in second place with six awards, including best comedy and best song (I’m Just Ken).

The race for the Academy Awards was upended throughout the evening when Emma Stone won best actress for her role in Poor Things, defeating Lily Gladstone (for Killers of the Flower Moon).

Paul Giamatti won best actor for his outstanding performance in The Holdovers, defeating Cillian Murphy, who was nominated for Oppenheimer.
