This year’s Emmy Awards were a night of triumphs and applause. The glamorous event took place at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California.
The gala night, hosted by American actor-comedian Anthony Anderson, saw the appearance of numerous A-list Hollywood celebrities, including Selena Gomez, Rachel Brosnahan, Quinta Brunson, and Ayo Edebiri.
Actor Ebon Moss Bachrach won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in ‘The Bear’ at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, which are presently taking place.
“@ebonmossb wins the #Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for @TheBearFX (@FXNetworks / @hulu)!” wrote the Television Academy’s official handle on X, formerly Twitter. Congratulations on your first-ever #Emmy win. “#Emmys #75thEmmys.”
‘The Bear,’ starring Jeremy Allen White, tells the story of a young chef, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, who is played by Jeremy Allen White. After his older brother commits suicide, he inherits his family’s Italian beef sandwich shop. He returns to Chicago to run it, leaving behind his life as a Michelin-starred chef.
While dealing with his personal grief and family tragedy, he is forced to cope with his brother’s outstanding bills, a decrepit kitchen, and an unruly staff.
The primary highlight of the star-studded night, however, was an unplanned kiss between actors Ebon Moss Bachrach and Matt Matheson, which astonished the other attendees. When it was announced that The Bear, starring the two, had won the Best Comedy Series award, the couple took the stage.
The cast and crew of the comedy-drama series The Bear were seen celebrating their win on stage in a now-viral video. Matt Matheson, an actor-chef, was the first to address the audience. When he was just getting started with his acceptance speech, his co-star Ebon Moss Bachrach stepped in. Ebon Moss Bachrach approached Matheson and kissed him onstage without notice, eliciting acclaim and laughter from the audience. After the long-awaited kiss, Matheson resumed his remarks. The viral moment between The Bear stars is now widely shared on social media sites.
The internet community reacted quickly to Ebon Moss Bachrach and Matt Matheson’s kiss on X. While one person said, “That was longer than I expected it to be,” another added, “OH THEY REALLY DID.” “This has been more gay Emmys than usual, and I love it,” said a third commenter.
“I just want to thank restaurants as a whole, hospitality as a whole,” Matt Matheson stated in his award speech. I adore dining establishments! The good and evil. It’s hard, we’re all broken on the inside, and every day we have to show up and cook and make people happy by eating something and sitting at a table. And it’s really lovely, and all of us here get to put on a show together. And it appears that we get to make them feel pleased, anxious, or provoked.” Before closing his remarks, Matheson thanked the cast and crew of The Bear for their hard work and efforts.
Taylor Swift is toasting Ebon Moss Bachrach, who mentioned the pop star in his award speech at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards.
“Congratulations!!” Swift responded with a few polite emojis. Her tweet was posted on Monday afternoon in response to a headline about his acceptance speech.
Why did Taylor Swift send a congratulations message to The Bear’s star? He gave her a shout-out from the podium at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
Moss-Bachrach said during his speech, in which he thanked The Bear’s production team and his family, “I’ve got to thank my two special scene partners, Olivia Colman and Taylor Swift.”
The actor was referring to a scene from Season 2 of the Hulu series in which his character, Richie, belts out “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” on his way home.
“It’s been a really beautiful experience to bring this man from a dark place into the light.” “It’s not often you get to play joy, I think,” the actor said of his experience on The Bear.
